Ways to Give

Gifts of cash are most often made through a single payment by check, PayPal, or credit card (we accept AmEx, VISA, MasterCard, and Discover). Wayland also receives cash gifts through pledge payments. Payments of pledges may be established in a number of ways including weekly, monthly, quarterly, semi-annually, or even spread out over several years. In most instances, cash gifts are unrestricted in nature, thus enabling Wayland the flexibility to utilize the gifts to meet the school's most immediate needs.

Many employers sponsor matching gift programs to match charitable contributions made by their employees. Gifts from employees' spouses and retirees may also qualify for a match. To see if your employer matches gifts, enter their name in the search engine below.

Include Wayland in your estate plans or make the Academy a beneficiary in your will, retirement plan, life insurance policy, etc.

PLANNED GIVING INFORMATION

Many individuals each year give Wayland stock or appreciated securities. These gifts offer the donor the opportunity to realize significant tax advantages. In addition, gifts of appreciated securities often allow a donor to make larger gifts than they ever imagined they could.

Donors may give Wayland a variety of personal property such as computers, books, art, and furniture that can be used in our educational mission. This type of outright gift is often known as a gift-in-kind. Donors and their tax advisors assign a value to the donated property for tax purposes.

Many families blend their giving to Wayland by coming together and pooling their resources to be able to create an endowment or name a space on campus.
