Looking for a fun, low-key way to volunteer for Wayland that doesn’t take much time? We’ve got the perfect opportunity for you!

Class Correspondents play an important role in helping to maintain the strong sense of community among Wayland alumni and establishing links with classmates who have lost contact with the Academy. They are the communications liaisons between the school and their classmates. We’ll provide you with a list of your classmates’ email addresses so you can send out a call for news and other event communications.

We are always looking for new spaces for alumni events in major cities. If you're willing to host an alumni or networking event at your home or workplace, please let us know.

Regional volunteers help to plan happy hours, alumni panels, service projects, affinity gatherings, and other alumni activities across the country. Each year, volunteers are active in cities including, but not limited to Milwaukee, Chicago, Twin Cities, Seattle, Milwaukee, and Los Angeles. If you're not in one of these cities, we welcome volunteers to plan events in their local areas.

Alumni and friends of Wayland Academy serve as Admissions Ambassadors in concert with the work of the Admissions Office, to identify, recruit, and yield mission-appropriate students, to advance our strategic goals. 

A staff member from Admissions will serve as Director of the Admissions Ambassadors group and will provide necessary training, support, and coordination.

Alumni and friends can participate in a number of ways throughout the year by sharing their Wayland experiences in formal and informal settings, such as receptions, webinars, letters, and more. We'll look forward to hearing from you to find your ideal opportunity to show your support of Wayland.

Modeled after TED talks, our REDtalks speaker series highlights alumni who wish to share a topic of interest with the rest of the Wayland community.  It does not matter if you are you an author, artist, or marketing executive, all our alumni have knowledge, skills, and hobbies that others find extraordinary.  Each ten-minute REDtalk is pre-recorded and can be recorded in the comfort of your own home.

The Alumni Association Executive Board takes an active role in education, networking and service for the Academy, and meets quarterly. The Board's President also attends meetings of the Academy's Board of Trustees.

The Parents Council provides support to the Trustees, Wayland’s Head of School, administration, faculty, and students.

The Annual Gala & Auction is a perfect opportunity to work behind the scenes or to work the frontlines at the event. If you prefer to work behind the scenes, you can be a social media ambassador who shares the news about the event with your social circle or you can contact individuals or businesses to donate an item or sponsor the event. Working the event may include assisting with checking in guests and helping them to make their auction bids.
