Wayland's 2024–2025 fundraising events—the Online Holiday Auction, 49th Spring Gala & Auction, and Big Red Classic—raised more than $360,000 for the Academy Fund!
The Academy’s fundraising events continue to bring our community together in powerful and inspiring ways. From long-standing traditions to growing initiatives, each event reflects the generosity, spirit, and commitment of those who support our mission. This year, our alumni, families, faculty, staff, and friends demonstrated, once again, how meaningful collective giving can be.

Online Holiday Auction

Monday, December 9, 2024
The 2024 Online Holiday Auction was a great way for participants to do some holiday shopping while supporting Wayland Academy. The auction included more than 100 items to bid on, from Wayland gear to original art; there was something for everyone.
The Holiday Auction raised $7,058 for the Academy Fund!
49th Annual Spring
Gala & Auction
Saturday, April 12, 2025
The 49th Annual Spring Gala & Auction was again Wayland's largest fundraising event of the year, with 207 guests in attendance. The event featured a gourmet strolling buffet, Golden Ticket Raffle, performance by Unaccompanied Minors—Wayland's a cappella group, and silent and live auctions.
The Spring Gala & Auction raised $324,488, including $177,655 for the initiative—new tables and chairs for Pickard Dining Hall!
Big Red Classic Golf Tournament
Friday, June 6, 2025
The Big Red Classic, held at Old Hickory Golf Club, had 101 golfers and 10 volunteers this year. The event ended with dinner and an awards ceremony. It was a beautiful day on the course and everyone had a great time!
The Classic raised $37,876 through foursome registrations, raffles, sponsorships, and a silent auction!

New Fundraising Event Supports Karlie Aubry `09 Memorial Scholarship
A group of alumni—Adam Benavides `08, John Miller `05, Mary Miller `08, and Sam Radford `06—came together in the spring of 2025 to create a new event to help raise funds for the scholarship that memorializes their classmate, Karlie Lynn Aubry `09 (1991–2015). The event was held on July 26, 2025, and was a huge success! More details will be shared in the 2025-2026 Annual Report.
