Your application is not the time to fly under the radar, it's your opportunity to shine. Wayland Academy’s Admission Office shares five important “w”ays to help your application be noticed and remembered.
Witty: Show your personality through your communication with Wayland - the application and the interview. As a community of unique individuals, we celebrate one another for the gifts each of us brings to our Wayland family.
Worldly: With students attending from 26 countries and 9 states, we provide a diverse and welcoming community. At Wayland, you don’t have to have a passport to be a part of a global community. We appreciate students who demonstrate interest and curiosity in learning more about the world they live in and who want to contribute to the world.
Willingness: We want students who show drive and motivation to learn and succeed here, in college, and beyond. We want to guide you in discovering how you can change the world.
Warmth: Applying to schools might feel intimidating, but it shouldn’t. Being authentic, genuine and warm makes you memorable, which is important. We notice, and appreciate, when a student shows true interest in Wayland Academy.
Why: Show us why you want to attend Wayland and why Wayland should admit you. Don’t tell us what you think we want to hear, but instead share what makes you an outstanding applicant for Wayland Academy.
The Admission Office remains busy reviewing applications for the upcoming year from students who are seeking more from their education. We hope you keep these tips in mind to make your best impression as you prepare your Wayland application. We’re excited to learn more about you and how you will contribute to the Wayland community!
We look forward to seeing how your application will stand out!
