Homecoming at Wayland

Wayland students always have a blast during Homecoming festivities. Spirit Week competition includes dress-up days, rock painting, volleyball, and basketball, which all lead up to the pep rally and the Homecoming dinner/dance. Classes compete fiercely in the pep rally games, including tug-of-war vs. the faculty. Class skits are always entertaining. They have included a depiction of Mr. Cleary H`20 and Mr. Michaletz's humanities class to creative renditions of the chicken dance and more. The seniors often end up victorious, but anything can happen and the other classes may just beat them next year! 

Saturday's Homecoming activities normally kick off with a Fun Run on South Campus which leads right into an athletic competition where students cheer on the Big Red on the soccer field. The day finishes with a dinner/dance where students are crowned as Homecoming royalty.
