Create "A Day in the Life at Wayland" Film for Admissions

Onella Nkurunziza and Merrielle Deguzman
For our senior capstone, we decided to film a video of a day in the life at Wayland Academy. We chose this project to display the different perspectives of a day and boarding students’ lives. We thought it was an excellent way for us to show the Wayland community and other families how our daily schedule looks like.
In our video, we started our day by signing out of our dorm to go for breakfast. From there, we briefly show what our day consists of and how we end a typical day at school. We also decided to include the different activities that are held on the weekends.
We enjoyed doing this project because it taught us how to work well together and learn how to manage our time. We were able to enhance our filming and editing skills, which we really enjoyed doing. We both think that there is nothing that we would have done differently because we enjoyed every single bit; we both have made amazing memories, and we are happy that we will always be able to look back at them. This project really motivated us always to try and document or film moments in our life because of how we could always live with the amazing memories that we’ve had at Wayland Academy.
We want to give a special thanks to Ms.Slusher, Elizabeth Tallman, and Griffin Hughland, who allowed us to interview them. Thanks to our incredible friend, Kacey Holbrooke, for helping us through the editing process when we faced challenges and for allowing us to interview her!
