Wayland is a diverse community of students and faculty who work together to achieve knowledge and character. In the admission process, we are looking for students who want to take advantage of the opportunities that will be presented to them at Wayland. We are looking for students who want more from their education, because Wayland’s education goes beyond the classroom. Most importantly, we are looking for students who want to be at Wayland.

A campus visit is important to the admission process because it allows you and your family to see yourselves as part of the Wayland family. We offer a wide range of visitation options, from individual visits to community open houses. Schedule a campus visit online today.
School visits are unique to each family, with some basic structures. During the academic year, students can expect to visit classes, have a student led tour, and an interview. Parents will have the opportunity to tour campus and have a Q&A with an admission counselor.
The purpose of the interview is to get to know the student and get an idea of how they might be involved in our community. It is a conversation between the applicant and admission representative. While the applicant will certainly be asked questions regarding their schooling, extracurricular activities and interests, it is also a great time for the applicant to ask any questions they have about the school.
Wayland’s Admission Committee reviews the entire application when making decisions. However, the most important factor is trying to determine best fit for both the student and Wayland Academy. This is one of the many reasons why we encourage a campus visit. If a family is concerned about low standardized test grades, it may be worth a conversation with the dean of enrollment. Additionally, Wayland wants students who wish to get involved in and contribute to the school community.
Wayland accepts test scores from a several different testing sources such as, but not limited to, the SSAT, ISEE, IBST, and MAP testing. If testing is a concern, we recommend you reaching out to the Admission Office at email@example.com
