Swan Library
Located in the heart of the Academic Center, Swan Library's mission is to provide a welcoming space for the Wayland community to study, collaborate, and connect.
We offer an extensive collection that includes research databases, print, digital and audio books, and equipment—such as iPads and video cameras. The library is open six days a week, and digital resources can be accessed at any time on the campus wireless network. Swan Library's full-time librarian helps students with book requests, research projects, reference questions, and works with the University of Wisconsin, nearby public libraries, and the state-wide inter-library loan system to provide access to additional resources.
The library includes a spacious main room and the attached Eli Seighman H`71
Learning Lab. In the main room, there are computers, individual study carrels, and moveable group tables for projects that require collaboration, plus a fireplace and comfortable chairs for reading. Students and faculty also meet in the Eli Seighman H`71 Learning Lab, which houses Media Studies' podcasting equipment, lighting and backdrops, and workstations
