Join us in the heartland to explore new academic opportunities, build leadership skills, and connect with peers from around the world. Are you ready to take the first step in your summer adventure?
Program Highlights:
Academic Enrichment:
Wayland’s Summer Experience, encourages students to explore new subjects, strengthen foundational skills, and gain insights that prepare them for future academic success. Participants will enhance their abilities in a variety of subjects, from the arts to mathematics, and benefit from hands-on, engaging lessons. Current and future Wayland students will also earn .25 elective credit.
Exciting Excursions:
Explore Wisconsin through day trips to destinations like Madison, Milwaukee, and Sheboygan. Past outings have included visits to museums, art galleries, college campuses, local cuisine hotspots, professional sporting events, and more. These adventures provide opportunities to learn and grow, all while bonding with teachers and new friends.
Outdoor Adventures:
Experience the natural beauty of a Wisconsin summer! Wayland’s location offers easy access to several outdoor gems. Our campus is only 20 minutes from the Horicon Marsh, one of the largest freshwater marshes in the U.S. Another favorite is Wisconsin’s largest state park, Devil’s Lake, where students can hike scenic trails or take in views on the beach.
Evening Fun:
Evenings are packed with activities designed to make every moment unforgettable. Students can gather around bonfires to roast s’mores and share stories. Fun and innovation combine during challenges, where students build boats out of cardboard boxes and test their durability in our pool. Other evenings feature game nights, scavenger hunts, and movie viewings, ensuring plenty of opportunities for fun and connection.
Character Development:
Wayland’s Summer Experience fosters growth in independence and leadership. Students live in one of our modern dormitories, gaining a sense of self-reliance within a safe and supportive environment. Leadership activities are integrated throughout the program, encouraging teamwork, communication, and problem-solving. Participants have the chance to discover personal strengths and build confidence that lasts well beyond the summer.
At Wayland, we believe education should inspire curiosity, creativity, and personal growth. Join us this summer on our beautiful 55-acre campus in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin to take part in a transformational learning experience.
