Wayland Math Team Earns Third-Place Finish in the Trailways Conference Meet
Wayland Academy students participated in the Trailways Conference Math Meet in March, earning a third-place finish overall. Four Wayland math teams competed in the meet: Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, and Advanced Algebra. Each group participated in both individual and team competitions.
Senior Jungwoo "Toby" Hong was also recognized for achieving the highest rank in the Mathematical Association of America (M.A.A.) High School Mathematics Contest. Toby is tied for seventh out of 400 participants statewide.
Seven schools participated in the competition: Cambria–Friesland, Central Wisconsin Christian, Green Lake, Markesan, Princeton, Randolph, and Wayland Academy.
