$1K in Grants Awarded for Wayland Academy’s 2025 Culture Convention
Wayland Academy received two individual $500 grants from the Heffron Family Fund and the Beaver Dam Community Foundation (totaling $1,000) on Feb. 4 to support the 2025 Culture Convention.
The Culture Convention is a celebration of global diversity and cultural appreciation, with food, activities, performances, a fashion show, and feature guest entertainment. The event will be held on Saturday, March 1, from 1 to 4 p.m. in Lindsay Gym, centrally located on Wayland’s campus.
Countries to be represented at this year’s Culture Convention include Afghanistan, Bhutan, Brazil, China, Costa Rica, Dominica, Guatemala, India, Ireland, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mexico, Nicaragua, Philippines, Poland, Puerto Rico, Saudi Arabia, Scotland, South Korea, Spain, Turkey, Ukraine, the United States, and Viet Nam. The Menominee Indian Tribe of Wisconsin (Bear Clan) will also be represented.
