Ring-the-Bell Student-Athletes of the Week—September 18
We are celebrating the Ring the Bell Student-Athletes of the week who are ringing the bell personally, athletically, and academically. 🔔 Way to go, Big Red student-athletes! 🎉
- Cross Country—Nelson Mitchell `25: Cross Country's RTB athlete of the week is Nelson Mitchell. Nelson finished in first place in our meet in Waupun and seventh place in a very competitive meet at Rio. Nelson should be very competitive at our conference meet and at State.
- Football—Bill Xue `26: The football Ring the Bell Student-Athlete of the Week is Bill Xue! Bill does a great job at bringing high intensity and high effort in everything he does! He is extremely coachable and responds to every coaching critique or question with, "Yes sir." He is also a great example of putting the team first; he is willing to move to whatever position the team needs to be successful! For those reasons and so many more, Bill is the RTB Student-Athlete of the Week!
- Rowing—Llyan Tabas `24: Llyan for her knowledge to teach novices and keep everyone focused.
- Soccer—Liam Menning `26: Liam Menning played well in both matches last week. Liam maintained a solid presence in the midfield and worked well with his teammates as the Big Red won 4-2 at Omro on Monday, and he played with great effort throughout the team’s close loss to Lourdes/Valley Christian on Thursday.
- Swimming—Grace Wells `27: Grace gave 100% effort daily, worked on new techniques and skills without ever complaining and has been extremely flexible when asked to swim different events.
- Tennis—Julia Krouglyanskaya `24: Congratulations to this week's Tennis Ring the Bell athlete, Julia Krouglyanskaya. She won her match in straight sets under the lights at Columbus High School to help our team win 4 to 3. Julia always shows great sportsmanship on the courts with her kindness, spirit, and determination. Way to Ring the Bell, Julia!
- JV2 Volleyball—Katie Hwang `26: Katie has put in effort and dedication over the past week to get back to basics. She has been practicing hard at ensuring she has the ability to assist the team with serves -- and received her first "ace" on Thursday night against Parkview! We are proud of Katie's determination and enthusiasm for the sport and know she will continue to ring that bell on and off the court! Way to go, Katie!
- JV Volleyball—Ariel Battey `26: Ariel has focused on her skills and abilities to be the best defensive specialist possible for our JV team. She has also stepped up to ensure that there are proper serve-receive abilities, improving our 3-touch abilities on our side of the net. She is putting in the time, effort, and dedication needed to get better and better. Keep on Ringing the Bell, Ariel!
- Varsity Volleyball—Ava Barudin `26: Ava has improved week to week to be a powerhouse in the front row with her hitting/tipping abilities, but she also has improved her footwork and back-row efforts, ensuring proper serve-receive abilities. She is a voice to be heard in the huddle, supports her teammates with encouragement, and listens to improve her own skills. Way to go, ringing the bell this week, Ava!
Keep ringing the bell! 🔔 🎉
