Ring-the-Bell Student-Athletes of the Week—May 15
These Ring the Bell Student-Athletes are being recognized for ringing the bell personally, academically, and athletically! Join us in celebrating these Big Red student-athletes. 🔔
- Baseball—TJ Allemand `26: TJ is the Ring the Bell Student-Athlete of the week for baseball for working hard, and staying positive. He pitched a great first game last week to give us the edge. At the plate, he scored twice and homered once. We ended up winning 5-3! Way to Ring the Bell!
- Lacrosse—Jayden Robinson `25: Jayden played exceptionally well in our three games this past week. However, he truly lit it up at Oregon on Tuesday. He was dominant at the faceoff x, winning most of the faceoffs. Not only that, but Jayden also scored three crucial goals to help us secure our first-ever win in program history.
- Rowing—Luis Lechón Cabello `24 and Sofía Solano `23:
- Luis is being recognized for working hard all season to bring the boys four together, earning a berth in the finals at our first Midwest Scholastic Championship regatta. Way to Ring the Bell!
- Sofía, for her spirit and willingness to improve the entire team. Way to Ring the Bell!
- Soccer—Sofía Olveira Merino `25: Sofía has grown into a solid soccer player; she never gives up on any play! She is now reading the game, being first to the ball, and anticipating plays. She finished the scoring, by stepping up and taking her very first penalty kick and hitting it. I'm very proud of her progression and "put in the work" attitude!
- Softball—Shawnell Sims-Ceballos `23: Shawnell always gives her best in practices and supports her team during every game. Last week, she rang the bell as she played first base during our doubleheader against Pardeeville. Thank you for your flexibility, team spirit, and athleticism. Way to go!
- Tennis—Spencer Gilbert `23: Spencer is a varsity singles player who works hard to improve his groundstrokes. He has worked to improve his skills since last year.
- Track and Field—Osaya Sule `24 and Lucia McGuiness `24:
- Osaya had an outstanding conference meet, finishing third in the 100M Dash with a personal record of 11.36, and fourth in the 200M Dash. He did all of this with an injured knee. Osaya loves to run and compete and is a very self-motivated athlete. He is a great leader on our team.
- Lu PR’d at the conference meet in the discus throw after having to endure a long rain delay and not being able to compete until almost midnight. Lu showed resilience and mental toughness in keeping her composure and focus during a tough situation.
Keep ringing the bell! 🔔 🎉
