Rowing Ring the Bell Student-Athlete of the Week—Stewart Growdon `25

Celebrating this week's Ring the Bell Student-Athletes for ringing the bell personally, academically, and athletically! Join us in congratulating these Big Red student-athletes. 🔔

  • Baseball—Ethyn Tallman `24: Ethyn is being recognized for his positive attitude and hard work. He comes each day ready to do what is necessary to get the job done! 
  • Lacrosse—Harry Yeo `26: Harry Has tried every position (including goalie!). Found his place as long stick middie—a key position. He always has a great attitude. He is positive, hard-working, and has a bright future in lax.
  • Rowing—Stewart Growdon `25 and Llyan Tabas `24: 
    • Stewart is being recognized for his growth and commitment to our second boys four, which won Sunday by six seconds over Evanston Township high school. 
    • Llyan, the coxswain for the freshman girls quad, led the team to a three-minute improvement in the race in Skokie, Illinois on Sunday. She also rowed in a quad to fill a vacant seat so the other team could have a race.  
  • Soccer—Ana Del Pozo Pavon `25: Soccer's Ring the Bell student-athlete this week is #6–Ana Delpozo, for her never quit attitude, and calmness under pressure. She scored her first goal of the season from the penalty stripe.  And, she is always positive and willing to help the team even though she's fighting through a foot injury.
  • SoftballSierra Mietzel `26: This week's softball RTB student-athlete is Sierra Mietzel. She has had an amazing week with her pitching and went five for six offensively in the last two games. Her dedication and leadership to the team is truly commendable. Way to Go!
  • Tennis—Peter Dang `23: Peter is being recognized for his leadership and team-first attitude! Additionally, Peter showed up on Sunday for optional practice where he was working on many parts of his game and we look forward to a strong finish to the season from him. 
  • Track and Field—Leonel Osorio `26 and Kaylee Marin `24:
    • Leonel works hard every day and has made great improvements throughout the season. Leonel always shows up ready to go at practice and has a positive presence.
    • Kaylee battled through some nagging injuries to participate in a relay to help her team. During the relay, she not only ran hard but caught another runner and picked up some valuable points for the Big Red.
