Ring-the-Bell Student-Athletes of the Week—September 4
We are celebrating this week's Ring the Bell Student-Athletes! Join us in congratulating these student-athletes who are ringing the bell personally, athletically, and academically. 🔔
- Cross Country—Maria Jose Acon `24: Maria ran very well and medaled at our first meet. She also is our team’s leader and consistently pushes and encourages all her teammate
- Football—Tyrique Jean Jacques `25: Our RTB athlete of the week is Tyrique Jean-Jacques! He is the hype man and motivational leader of the team! He gives 110% effort in everything he does in practice and the games! Tyrique has the mentality that you want in a football player; no matter who he is up against, he is determined to win and does not stop until the whistle blows! Way to Ring The Bell Tyrique!!!
- Rowing—Luis Lechon Cabello `24: Luis is being recognized for his dedication to improvement, his demonstration of that commitment to others, and his pursuit of rowing in college. Way to RTB Luis!
- Soccer—Jonah Ratajczak `25 and Odin Nico `25: Juniors Jonah Ratajczak and Odin Nico are this week’s boys soccer Ring the Bell athletes of the week. Odin and Jonah have provided leadership with their effort each day in practice and have been moving to new positions in the lineup helping to fill the team’s needs while this young team works to define everyone’s roles early in the season.
- Swimming—Carmen Rollán Martinez `26: Carmen learned how to do a backstroke flip turn in warm-ups before the Badger Relays and performed them during the race. She also learned how to do the butterfly stroke at practice. Carmen is extremely coachable, does everything asked of her, cheers on her teammates, and always has a smile!
- Tennis—Reagan Born `27: This week's Wayland Girls Tennis RTB Athlete is Reagan Born `27. Reagan has given her all this year, beginning in preseason through to last Friday's match. Reagan stepped up against Whitewater's singles four opponent and won an amazing seven games. Way to Ring that Bell in your first singles varsity match. Congratulations, Reagan!
- JV2 Volleyball—Jaya James `25: Jaya has shown continued drive and improvement since volleyball began. She is dedicated to improving her own skills but also encourages others to do the same. She has the focus and the heart to keep on progressing with being a great leader for the team. Her great attitude is seen on and off the court. Continue ringing that bell!
- JV Volleyball—Hannah Paszczuk `25: Hanna's competitive drive is persistent on and off the court. She has strong skills and abilities that encourage the team to take strides with focus and dedication. She will continue to build on the core values of the team and become a strong voice. Way to ring the bell!
- Varsity Volleyball—Maddie Clark `25: Maddie has taken the libero position by storm. Her determination to improve her skills and communication with her team is essential on the court, but also in the leadership that she shows off the court. She has dedicated the time to work on improving her serves, as she demonstrated with an "ace" this week! Keep climbing that ladder, Maddie, and ringing the bell.
