Ring-the-Bell Student-Athletes of the Week—May 13

Rowing Ring the Bell Student-Athlete of the Week—Kat Fogarty`24

Join us in congratulating this week's Ring the Bell Student-Athletes! These student-athletes are hard-working, tenacious, dedicated, and supportive of their teams. Way to go, Big Red! ❤️ 🎉

  • Baseball—Sam Porras `25: Sam is continually looking for ways to improve his play, and he always supports the team no matter the role or situation.
  • Golf—Jay Cho `26: Congratulations to golf's ring-the-bell athlete, Jay Cho! Jay earned the best team score of 46 at our home match last week in Columbus. Jay earned the MVP this season and will be playing this week at the Conference Championship at Old Hickory. Way to ring the bell, Jay.
  • Lacrosse—Nathan Le `26: Nathan has worked hard this season and has become a force at the faceoff x. Our previous opponent’s head coach complimented him about how well he battled. Nathan has put much effort into improving his overall lacrosse game, not just his faceoff skills. For these reasons and countless others, Nathan is our RTB athlete of the week. Way to go, Nathan!
  • Rowing—Kat Fogarty `24Kat stepped up during her senior year to finish our season strong, guiding the novice boys four to the championship regatta. She has done this with lots of heart!
  • Girls Soccer—Isabel Wertz `24: Isabel has helped the team this week by playing a position she normally has not played: center back on defense. She showed toughness and tenacity to get to the ball first and clear it. She also has helped create scoring chances by playing the ball wide to open teammates. She has great toughness to tackle and challenge the players on the opposing team.
  • Softball—Arim Lim `24: In the last two games especially, Arim has pushed herself even further. She had a great hit against Oakfield and was a state-ranked pitcher, which is a huge accomplishment. Arim remains dedicated to being the best she can be and has shown more than ever this season.
  • Boys Tennis—Mehmet Tarin `25: Mehmet Tarin is a quick doubles player who is always looking to improve his skills.  He is a strong net player and is great at winning points with his powerful volleys.
  • Track and Field—Griyan Hughland `26: Griyan has been a quiet leader all season. She switched her primary race to the 800M only a few weeks ago and has improved steadily ever since. She is also very supportive of her teammates and a very coachable athlete.

Keep ringing the bell, personally, athletically, and academically! 🔔 🔔 🔔
