Ring-the-Bell Student-Athletes of the Week—February 19

Boys Swimming Ring the Bell Student-Athletes of the Week—The Entire 2024 Boys Swim Team

As the winter sports season wraps up, we can all still hear the Victory Bell ringing for our Ring the Bell Student-Athletes of the Week. 🔔  🔔  🔔 This week's student-athletes are supportive, funny, and positive teammates! Who could ask for more? 🫶🏽

  • Boys Basketball—Lotus Buss `24: Manager Lotus Buss `24 has been ringing the bell this season in her role supporting the boys’ basketball program. Lotus cheerfully works at the scorer’s table when needed, and has become an expert at those jobs. She provides invaluable help with hydration and setting up drills, and she is a positive supporter of the teams at all times.
  • Girls Basketball—Andrea Riesen `25: Andrea is super supportive of her teammates, offers words of encouragement, knows when to crack a good joke that'll make you smile, and does all the "little things" on the basketball court to help her team succeed. She oftentimes has a smile, is always there for her teammates, on and off the court, and wants nothing more than for them to succeed in whatever they do. Keep Ringing The Bell, Andrea!
  • Cheerleading—Marty Ma `24: Marty has really grown as a leader on the team this season. She has used what she's learned to help her teammates and performs consistently well with positivity! As a senior, she has been a shining example of hard work and determination paying off in a short time.
  • Fencing—Hannah Paszczuk `25: Hannah is very dedicated, has had a great season, and has greatly improved her fencing technique.
  • Forensics—Kirk Kelly `24: Kirk has been doing his "captainly" duty well this week, and he has been helping several of the team members polish their pieces very well. He also helped with the sickness that we had a couple of weeks ago and was a real trooper in helping clean it up. Kirk is definitely a Ring the Bell team member.
  • Powerlifting—Liam Cleary `26 and Isabel Wertz `24: Liam and Isabel are the powerlifting Ring the Bell athletes of the week due to their positivity and can-do attitude! Both of these athletes are prime examples of people who come in thinking they can accomplish their goals and do everything in their power to get them accomplished. This positive attitude is contagious and spreads throughout the group—in turn, making it a great place for all athletes to reach new heights.
  • Boys Swimming—The Entire Team: The swim team has had a great season, not just due to the multiple PRs, wins, and school record, but due to their strong work ethic and team bond. The seniors led one last cheer for the team at our final meet, and it was "Family, on Three."

Way to go, Big Red! Keep that Victory Bell ringing. 🎉
