Let's celebrate this week's Ring the Bell Student-Athletes with a big WAY-TO-GO! 👏👏👏 Positive, dedicated, hard-working, brave, and determined, are just some of the words that coaches use to describe these Big Red athletes. 🎉
- Baseball—Bill Xue `26: Bill is being recognized this week for getting his first career hit and always having a positive attitude.
- Golf—Peter Kim `25: Since last week's match, Peter has shown great improvement with his drive and mid-irons. Way to ring the bell with your dedication and effort!
- Lacrosse—Long Pham `25: Long has worked hard this week and throughout the season. He is the first to go whenever we need someone to come off the bench and take another shift. He has an unmatched motor and drive to get better. For these reasons and countless others, Long is the lacrosse Ring the Bell student-athlete of the week.
- Rowing—Llyan Tabas `24: Llyan was selected because of her significant teaching ability with our novice girls. She has a calm yet demanding presence, ensures high-level communication techniques to improve the proficiency of the crew, and is quite aware of her surroundings on the water and on land.
- Girls Soccer—Ava Barudin `26: Ava has worked extremely hard this week for her teammates. She has shown leadership on the field, confidence when playing, and bravery in a crowd. She has a no-quit attitude and the tenacity to be the player she wants to be. She handles pressure extremely well and even scored a goal from the penalty stripe. Ava is becoming a true student of the game and honing her skills. I'm really proud of her accomplishments, both for her and her teammates! Well done, Ava!
- Softball—Grace Hankes `24: During this past week, Grace showed outstanding work in her role as our left fielder. She had the game-winning catch against Lourdes! Grace continues to grow in her row and is an amazing role model for the newer softball players.
- Boys Tennis—Juan Rodenas Guerrero `27: Juan works hard at practice to improve his skills. He seeks advice from the coaches about strategies he can use as a singles player in his matches. He is determined to win his matches and always has a positive attitude.
- Track and Field—Reagan Born `27: Reagan has maintained a positive attitude and a great work ethic while battling through some injuries and acclimating to a new sport. Reagan’s future is bright on the track for the Big Red!
Keep ringing the bell—personally, athletically, and academically! 🔔 🔔 🔔
