Nineteen members of Wayland Academy’s band and choir traveled to Lourdes Academy High School on Saturday, February 21, to participate in the annual Solo & Ensemble Festival. Students performed a variety of solos and small group pieces, showcasing their musical talent and dedication.
Several Wayland musicians earned top honors and will advance to the State Solo & Ensemble Festival, which will be held April 25 at University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh. State qualifiers include: Adas Bareikis (Piano Solo); Chloe Kim (Soprano Solo); Grace Ta (Alto Solo and Musical Theater Vocal Duet); Madyson DeWitt (Musical Theater Vocal Duet); Ellie Sinclair (Music Theater Soprano/Alto Solo and Soprano Solo); Edward Flatt (Tenor Solo); Sylvan Becraft (Baritone or Bass Solo and Music Theater Tenor/Bass).
