Wayland Math Team Earns Top Honors at Conference Meet

Wayland Academy’s student Mathletes have had a strong season with impressive performances in both the Mathematical Association of America High School Mathematics Contest and the Trailways Conference Math Meet.

On December 4, Wayland students participated in the MAA High School Mathematics Contest. Lilith Reusch `26 and Douglas Choi `27 achieved the highest rank among Wayland participants.

Before Spring Break, the Mathletes traveled to the Trailways Conference Math Meet, where they competed against seven schools in Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, and Advanced Math.

Wayland earned second place overall at the meet, while the Advanced Math team captured first place in its division. Individually, Lilith Reusch placed second in the Advanced Math category, and Jom Paoprasert `29 earned first place in Algebra 1.
