Our Campus
Wayland Academy is located in the heart of the Midwest.
Wayland is the preeminent traditional small boarding school located in the Midwest. Wayland students come from all around the U.S. and all around the world—with more than 15 states and more than 25 countries represented on campus.
The warmth and compassion of the Wayland community is empowering. Students know they are accepted and supported, making them free to explore beyond their comfort zone and take risks to be their best. The Academy draws on our past while looking to the future—with an innovative curriculum that prepares students for their next steps and beyond.
Our beautiful 55-acre campus in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin is just 40 miles from Madison, 60 miles from Milwaukee, and 150 miles from Chicago, Illinois. Our location provides students opportunities to connect with nature while also being nearby key metropolitan areas. Weekends at Wayland are filled with activity—hiking, biking, swimming, kayaking, skiing, shopping, watching (or performing in) a theater production, or maybe even taking in a professional baseball or basketball game. (Fun Fact: Did you know that Wayland's Field house was originally built to host the NBA's Milwaukee Bucks summer training camp?) The possibilities are endless.
