Leadership Positions
Class Officers
Each class is represented by a class president, a vice president, a secretary, and a treasurer. The class president presides at all meetings of the class, while the secretary and treasurer assist with the record keeping of minutes of class meetings and other class records. Each officer is elected by a majority of students voting in his or her class. Class officers are members of the Student Government and are required to attend all government meetings. The President and Vice President of each class are voting members of the Student Government. Edgar Garcia, the 2012 Class President, is shown to the right.
Student Government
The Student Government offers each student an opportunity to become involved in student leadership at Wayland Academy. The Student Government meets once a week and is representative of the entire student community. Any student is eligible to be a member of the Student Government.
