Constructed in 1989, the Academic Building is one of Wayland's learning centers. It is home to the Math, English, History, and Modern and Classical Language Departments. Inside, students will find our dedicated and talented faculty both in their offices and in their classrooms.

The Academic Building is easy to navigate for even the newest student. The Math Department has its classrooms and offices on the first floor, the English Department has its home on the second floor, and the History and Modern and Classical Language Departments have their classrooms and offices on the third floor. The average class size is 11 students. Students may take classes at three levels: college preparatory, honors, or Advanced Placement. The Academic Building is also conveniently attached to Swan Library.
