The dramatic productions throughout the year allow students to explore all aspects of theater. Students can study various acting techniques, proper vocal production, directing, props, lighting, costuming, and set building and design. Traditional three-act plays, student written one-act plays, poetry readings, readers' theater, and Broadway musicals are all performed during the school year. For students active in drama, the Academy has a Thespian Society Troupe which is involved in all productions, as well as in community events. Recent drama productions include: The Night of January 16th, Music Man, West Side Story, The Night Thoreau Spent in Jail, Dark at the Top of the Stairs, The Fantastics, My Sister Eileen, and The Wizard of Oz.
