Wayland Athletics

As athletes of Wayland Academy, we will do our best to reflect the core values established at Wayland.  This document reflects our commitment to uphold these values during the athletic season.  We will use the actions listed below to help build us into Champions of Character.

Integrity: We will play by the game rules. We will follow the athletic code.

Respect: We will shake hands of the opponents after the game. We will take care of our own bodies.

Caring: We will clap encouragement to an injured player that is helped off the field of play. We will give a hand to a person when they are knocked down.

Gratitude: We will thank someone for the opportunity to play the game. We will give thanks to those who give of themselves to make us a better athlete.

Passion: We will play hard until the final buzzer. We will play through adversity.
