A typical day in the life of a boarding student begins between 7-7:30 a.m. Breakfast is served from 7-7:45 a.m. Monday through Friday and Saturdays when Wayland has classes.
The academic day is from 8:00 until 3:15 p.m. Students have a short time following the academic day to get snacks in the dining hall, then sports or AAP begins by 3:45 p.m. and run until 5:30 p.m.
Dinner is served from 5:45 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. From 5:45 until 7:30 p.m. students have free time. Students in good standing can leave campus after sports as long as they receive permission from a dorm supervisor. All students must be back on campus and check in at their respective dorms by 6:30 p.m. (Seniors in good standing can take a night out off campus one night a week and extend their check-in time until 9:30 p.m.)
Mandatory study hours are from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and on Friday when there are Saturday classes.
Freshmen, sophomores and juniors have a short break after study hours from 9:30 to 10:00 p.m. when they may leave the dorm. The dorm closes for them at 10:00 p.m. Seniors may leave the dorm from 9:30 to 10:30 p.m.
The dorm closes for seniors at 10:30 p.m.
Sunday through Thursdays (Friday if we have Saturday classes) lights are out at the following times: freshmen and sophomores 10:30 p.m., juniors 11:00 p.m., and seniors 11:30 p.m.
