Transcripts A transcript of your courses, credits, and grades is required in order for us to consider your application. Please request that a copy of your transcripts be sent to the Office of Admission. The Request for Release of School Records form (included in your information packet or the application you may download from this site) should be used for this purpose. Ask your parents to sign the form and submit it to your current school.
Recommendations Wayland Academy requires two recommendations from two different teachers who can speak to your academic ability and behavior. These forms are also included in the application packet sent to you or the one you may download from this site.
Testing Wayland requires the results of a nationally standardized exam. While we will consider the results from exams such as the Iowa Test, Stanford, Explore, Terra Nova, PSAT, PLAN, SAT, and ACT, the preferred exam is the SSAT. The SSAT offers exams in November, December, January, February, March, April, and June. Wayland Academy is one of SSAT's national test centers and will offer this exam on three of those dates. If you would like to sign up to take this exam, you will need to contact SSAT at 609-683-4440 or online at www.ssat.org.
Interviews As part of our admission process, Wayland requires an interview with all prospective students. An interview is a wonderful opportunity for you to ask questions you may have regarding Wayland Academy. As part of your interview, we would like to show you around our campus with one of our Campus Ambassadors. Your Campus Ambassador is a current Wayland student whose family has also made the decision for a Wayland education. To set up a visit, please contact our Office of Admission by email at admissions@wayland.org or by phone at 800-860-7725. Visits are available Monday through Friday and some select Saturdays. Don't forget about our Open Houses in November and April!
Wayland Academy does not discriminate in its educational programs, and admission is open to students of any race, color, and national or ethnic origin.
