Why Wayland?

Experienced Faculty
Over 80% of our faculty have either a master's or doctorate degree; however, they are more than just experienced educators. Wayland's faculty serve as mentors assisting students with course selection and monitoring academic progress. They are accessible, caring, and completely engaged in campus life.

Challenge
Colleges find Wayland's challenging curriculum attractive. Latin is required for students to sharpen their verbal skills and writing is a part of every class. When Wayland graduates get to college, they know how to communicate. Taking many Honors and AP classes, our students are academically engaged.

Premier College Counseling
Our college counselors begin meeting with students in ninth grade. The Wayland Plan, a four-year comprehensive program, matches students to the college or university that offers the best fit.

Leadership
Students have multiple opportunities to gain leadership skills. Wayland provides countless leadership opportunities through participation in community service, Model United Nations, student government, or as a senior prefect, Wayland's highest leadership position. Wayland offers clubs for any interest whether it be creative writing, Japanese, athletics, or film.
