Founded in 1855, Wayland Academy is an independent, coeducational, college-preparatory boarding and day school for students in grades 9-12. 

Wayland is accredited by the Independent Schools Association of the Central States and the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Wayland also holds memberships in the National Association of Independent Schools, The Association of Boarding Schools, and the National Association for College Admission Counseling.
