Academic Center

The Academic Building hosts the majority of the classrooms and academic offices on campus. The Math Department has classrooms and offices on the first floor, the English Department on the second floor, and the History/Social Studies and Modern and Classical Language Departments reside on the third floor. The average class size at Wayland is 13 students, and the classes are taught at three levels: college preparatory, honors, and Advanced Placement. There are even a few independent study classes designed, as needed, when a student’s interests and passion require a course that exceeds even the high standards of an Advanced Placement course.  Wayland's challenging curriculum provides an opportunity for students to extend their studies beyond what is available in a typical high school.
