Over the years, Wayland Academy has opened its doors to many local groups and organizations. We believe being a “good neighbor” is essential for positive community relations. Below is a list of some of the groups that utilize our various facilities.
Beaver Dam High School They use the Sol Wolfe `34 Memorial Pool for swim practice, the Tennis Courts, and, on occasion, the George Cobb H`80 Soccer Field.
Beaver Dam Park and Recreation Department They use the pool throughout the year and the Field House for Volleyball Leagues.
BASS Swim Club They also use the pool for practices.
Lutheran Teens This club uses the Field House for their basketball tourney.
Optimist Club The Optimists use the Field House for a one-day skills contest for youth in January.
Beaver Dam Youth Soccer They use the JV soccer field in the fall and spring.
Beaver Dam Legion and Little League These baseball leagues use the Baseball Diamond during the summer.
Special Olympics They use Lindsay Gymnasium during school year.
Juneau Church Group The Softball Diamond is utilized by this group in the summer.
Nike Tennis, Basketball, Volleyball These groups hold athletic camps at Wayland for their respective sports over the summer and use not only the various athletic facilities, but also the residence halls, Pickard Dining Hall and the dining hall staff.
