Wayland is a college preparatory boarding school situated in a residential environment in the heartland of America. Thus, on the one hand, as a competitive Academy, we teach our students to work hard, as they develop the skills and knowledge base for succeeding at the best colleges in the country. On the other hand, as a boarding school, we are connected to our students in some way every hour of the day, seven days a week. Yes, the students do have free time, but we take our responsibility to educate, coach, and mentor very seriously, as we fulfill our mission to prepare young people for a successful college experience, good citizenship, and a rewarding life.
